I have been to this event location twice now with verknipt. The experience was amazing. The first time there was nearly no queue to get in and the second time I was only in the queue for max 30 minutes. Lockers were managed good and the bar aswell. The venue looks sick and has an amazing sound system.
The location for Defected 2023, a well curated space, with adequate rest rooms and lockers, easily available throughout the gig, but an aweful coupon system for drinks, which means you get to queuevup twice, and end up with a pocket full off worthless chips you paid for in the hope of getting more drunk than you did...
Japan light festival celebrated in this place on 8-10 Dec, the place was very congested for big crowd, not parking friendly.
Visited Hemkade for a Boiler Room event recently. The venue itself is great and has a good vibe for techno events, but bars should really accept cards and also serve normal and alcoholic beverages together (we were told to go to the other end of the bar for a bottle of water which meant waiting in a new cue). Also, if you're going to work with drink tokens, at least make buying large amounts cheaper instead of keeping the same price/token for large amounts of tokens.
Was on a boiler room there, pretty good experience. The hemkade is pretty big and spacious for events and concerts, has a smoking space also.
I have no clue how this venue has more than 4 points. Sounds system is terrible. Dont even consider unless Micheal Jackson comes back from his graveyard. Wow what a disappointment of Boiler Room.
Good place to party, huge venue and with all the facilities needed. But lockers were very expensive and the location is a bit hard to reach.
The Japanese Light and Food Festival was an awesome experience, with Japanese retro games, arcade, food and lights to bewonder. However the accommodation was small compared to Comicon, so it felt at times very claustrophobic. Nevertheless I had a blast at the festival.
